Why it was recalled
While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
What was recalled
Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).
What to do
Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front end radar installation and if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 12, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3309..
