Why it was recalled

A seat with loose fasteners may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

What was recalled

Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2026 Vision and All American school buses equipped with a lap belt-ready or 3-pt seats. The seat mounting fasteners may have been improperly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems," 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages," and 222, "School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection."

What to do

Blue Bird will replace the seat fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 2, 2025. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Blue Bird's number for this recall is R25DM.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
