Why it was recalled
An audible warning chime that fails to alert occupants of an unbelted seat belt can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
What was recalled
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 F-150 hybrid vehicles equipped with a 3.5L hybrid electric powertrain. When the driver or passenger's seat belt is not buckled and the vehicle is started, the audible warning chime may not activate as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
What to do
Dealers will update the audio control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C31.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
