Why it was recalled

A loss of lubrication can cause bearing failure and wheel loss, increasing the risk of a crash.

What was recalled

Lippert is recalling certain 8K axles. Please see the 573 Safety Recall Report for a full list of affected part numbers. The axle hubs were incorrectly assembled with a grease seal rather than an oil seal, causing oil to leak.

What to do

Lippert will replace the axle hubs, free of charge. Affected vehicle manufacturers will be notified May 1, 2026. Owners may contact Lippert customer service at 1-574-538-4514.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
