Liquid intrusion into a battery pack can cause a loss of electrical isolation or short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire or shock hazard.

What was recalled

Motiv Power Systems, Inc. (Motiv) is recalling certain 2021-2024 F-59 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 6 EPIC powertrain. The high voltage battery pack may be improperly sealed and allow liquid to enter the battery.

What to do

Motiv worked with Our Next Energy to inspect and repair the battery packs as necessary, free of charge. All affected vehicles were repaired by November 2024. Owners may contact Motiv customer service at 1-650-458-4804.. Follow the official notice for full instructions.
