Why it was recalled

A seat with loose bolts may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

What was recalled

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2025 Utilimaster Upfit vehicles. The passenger jump seat mounting bolts may not have been properly tightened. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems."

What to do

Dealers will inspect and tighten the jump seat mounting bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 26, 2025.
